Maintain Formatting in Word

I create documents in Word and send them to other people
as attachments. When the other people open the document I
created, it opens with their formatting for font, spacing
etc. How can I create a Word document which will open
with my formatting preferences even if sent as an
attachment via email?

Make sure you don't have the "Automatically update document styles" box
checked in Tools | Templates and Add-ins. Don't base the document on
Normal.dot, and it won't matter whether or not this box is checked, *but*
the recipient will find the document opens slowly while there system looks
for the attached template, which of course it won't find. As for reflow
