Maintaining doc positioning on screen

In the old Word, when I saved and closed, the next time the file was opened the doc was placed at the same position it had been. Now, when opening a doc, it always appears at top left.

Any way to retain doc position on screen?

Thanks, JR

No.

That's a change that was made to support those well-off folks who can afford
two monitors...

Microsoft is now working on the mechanism to try to improve the result and
to allow for the presence of Spaces.

Use the Send Feedback link on the Help menu to add your thoughts to how you
would like them to do this. You will be talking directly to the Software
Architect, so provide a valid email address they can get back to you with if
they need to :)

And don't forget to allow for the "edge" cases that are making this so
difficult... What do you want to happen if you close a document in one
Space, and re-open it in another? What do you want to happen if you close
the document with two screens attach, then open it when only one monitor is
available?

Hope this helps

I'm seeing the same thing here--looks like a bug. Can you use Help |
Send Feedback in Word to complain about it, to be sure it's counted.

I guess you could use an applescript to move the window more easily....

Submitted change request, as suggested.

Those of us with multiple monitors support you.

Thanks, JR
