MAINTAINING FORMATS WHILE E-MAILING

S

I have a resume in Word format. When I copy and paste it
with a cover letter I lose the formatting of my columns.
It makes my resume appear to be less than professional.

Sherman....

no need to shout, we can hear you....

If you are copying and pasting your resume into another
area, like an email window or web browser you will indeed
lose your formatting. If you want to keep the formatting
intact, send the file as an attachment. If those reading
your resume claim not to have MS Word, then they are
either not telling the truth, or prefer something text-
based for a database system. You can also reformat your
resume for a text based system.
