maintaining hyperlinks in merged e-mails to Outlook

I am trying to produce a number of mail merged e-mails using word and sent to
Outlook for sending. The word document contains some hyperlinks, but when the
merged e-mails are sent to the outbox of Outlook they are lost in each of the
individual e-mails.

How can I maintain the hyperlinks in the e-mails.

I've tried everthing I can think of and have failed, I would be very
grateful for any advice.

As a minimum, you will need to be using Word XP with Service Pack 2
installed.
