As of today I can no longer use my OL 2003 (XP OS). The same system
configurations are in place but it would not allow me to send or receive
email without timing out. My ISP is Comcast and they are up and functioning.
I went into my advanced settings and changed my incoing port with SSL
encryption from 110 and it can now pull down incoming mail, I tried the same
for my SMTP server leaving the Port the same and it does not work whatsoever
on Outgoing mail.

I tried resetting my Norton Internet security to the default Firewall
settings to no avail. ALso tried disabling Norton which also did not yield
any results. Now My computer has decided it is having issues shutting down.

This morning Norton had blocked a Trojan but I am starting to get worried
that I was hit by a brand new virus that reconfigured my system.

All Patches are up-to-date on Office and XP as well as Norton IS.

Any ideas here?

The only software that has been loaded recently was an efax messenger
application. There were no issues with the email prior to this or directly
after this. the date of the application download was Thurday around 10 a.m.
EST. I used email all day Friday and over the weekend.

Prior to that I downloaded a few extensions for the Mozilla Firefox browser
but with no ill effects.

BTW the error messages are 0x8004210A and 0x8004210B. I had this issue
before but I just downloaded the patch and I was off to the races. This is a
different issue this time that the patches are not solving.
