Major Problem with Office 2003.....HELP

Ok, here is the problem. I recently upgraded to Office 2003 from 2000, but I
am having a big problem with word and powerpoint. When I try to open my
previously saved word docs and powerpoint presentations it tells me my files
are not availabe. I can't use any templates or open any ofiice document
either, I get the same message. When I exit out of word it tells me "Changes
have been made that affect the global template, Normal. Do you want to save
those changes?" The funny part about it is when I remove office 2003 and
install 2000 again everything works fine. My antivirus program is up to
date. This is really frustrating, please help.

If garfield-n-odie's suggestion doesn't fix it, post back and tell us the
exact text of the error message you receive.
