Make a bar chart with cross-query

I have a crossquery having following structure.
Jan Feb ...... Dec
patient1 diag1
diag2
diag3
patient2 diag1
diag3

With this query, I need to make a bar chart per a patient.
That is, each bar set (diag1, diag2, and diag3) has 12 (from Jan to Dec)
bars attached to each other.

Thus, I make a main report and sub-report and then link the two report with
patient ID. To link, I used [Reports]![Main_Report]![Patient ID] as criteria.
But I got error message saying that "Engine does not recognize
[Reports]![Main_Report]![Patient ID] is a valid field name or expression".

I appreciate for your suggestions.
