Make a linked Access 2002 "Read Only"

I have an Access 2002 table within a database in one
directory. I have linked the table to several other
directories and databases for informational use.

When information is accidentally changed in a query, or
entry form, it changes information in the original table.

How can I make the original table "Read Only" so Linked
tables being read by Entry Forms and Queries can read the
data, but not change it. I have no security on these
tables, nor do I want any if not critical.

Please advise,

David,

If you don't want to implement security, then I guess you could play around
with the properties of the controls on the user forms: controls displaying
the data from that particular table can be set to Enabled > No and/or Locked
Yes, so the user can see the data but not change it even on the form.

HTH,
Nikos
