Make ACCDE Help

Karen

Hi,
I am totally new to Access 2007.....I have placed an ACCDB on a network
drive. The database is fully functionable until I convert it into an ACCDE.
At this point, I lose my use of my control buttons. I've noticed that the VB
References I've previously used in my ACCDB are no longer added to the ACCDE.
Is this normal? How can I make the ACCDE work properly? I really appreciate
any help provided, I'm getting very frustrated with this!

I'm curious as to how you noticed that the VB References you added to the
ACCDB weren't in the ACCDE since you can't use the VB Editor to look at the
References collection in an ACCDE.

Has the folder where the ACCDE resides been added to the user's Trust
Center?

Yes, the drive and the folder are in my Trust Center.

When I open the ACCDE, I'm able to access the Visual Basic code under the
the Database Tools ribbon (I was surprised about this also. I've made dozens
of databases using 1997-2000 and have never seen that before.) This database
WAS converted from 2000 and I had plenty of issues just getting it up and
running. But I have to be able to make it an ACCDE because others use the
database.
