Make Entourage Default

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I want Entourage to be me default mail program. In Entourage General Preferences I selected Entourage as my default. I checked Mac Mail Preferences and Entourage is listed as Default Mail Reader. But when I save an e-mail to a folder in my desktop or save it in Documents it always opens in Mac Mail. Help!

These are two different things. You successfully registered to be the
default app for the mailto: protocol. You now need to set it up as the
default app to open e-mails saved to the desktop.
Select the e-mail
Press command-i
in the information window, select Entourage for Open With
hit the Apply to all button.
