Make MDE file greyed out

Hello

I want to save a database as an MDE file, but the option is greyed out. The
database has not been replicated (I read that this would prevent the MDE
from being created).

Any help would be much appreciated,

If you are using Access 2002 convert the database to the Access 2002
file format then try Make MDE file.
