Make Table Query

How do I make an empty table with the fields I need to
populate at a later time. I have been able to make tables
based on data from other tables but haven't had any
success with just a blank table. Just so I am clear, here
is what I am trying to do. Make a blank table with the
following fields:

Item Number
Date Item Failed
Fail Code

Go to the Tables tab of your Database Containers window, then click "New"
button or the shortcut "Create table in Design view".

Check Access Help or any Access book. Surely, if any book doesn't cover
this, it is not worth buying.

Here's a DAO example to help meet that task:

strSQL = "Create Table tblMyBlankTable " & _
"([Date Item Failed] Date, [Item Number]
Text, [Fail Code] Text)"

MyDB.Execute strSQL
