make text line up on lines on a lined page?

i am new to this program, so maybe this is simple, but I fiddled around with
it, and I cannot figure out how to make the text type out on the lines that
are on the lined page.

The text is just going wherever, without reference to the lines. What's the
point of the lines then?

They are an orientation for pen input on a TabletPC.

The lines are intended to assist people using a Tablet PC - Keeping your
handwriting in neat horizontal lines helps readability (and helps improve
handwriting recognition accuracy).

If you are not an a Tablet PC, the lines are purely asthetic and are not
able to be automatically lined up with lined text. I'd turn them off (View
| Rule Lines | None in OneNote 2003 and Format | Rule Lines | None in
OneNote 2007)

In 2007, the narrow rule line setting is intentionally spaced to match the
default font (11pt Calibri).
