Student Using PowerPoint

i have a website with a service that has a 5 mb file upload limit. i am
making a presentation that apparently exceeds this limit. i think this is
because of audio files. all files are in .wav format and they are huge! is
there another file format that will let the files play on the internet or can
i make the .wav files smaller without converting to another audio format? i
want my sounds to be good quality, small file size, and to play in my
internet presentation. i am using powerpoint 2003.

Start with this:

Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?

However, I don't think that touches on the WAV sounds. If you have audio
editing software, you might try reducing the quality of the sounds some and
making them mono rather than stereo. You might be able to get away with
converting to MP3 format and using CDEX to add a header that fools
PowerPoint into thinking that the MP3 file is a WAV file (so it can be
embedded in your PowerPoint file). This FAQ entry discusses that:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation

Adding : It is called CDex 1.51.
I chose the Non Unicode version because I won't touch anything that begins
or ends with the word ' beta '.

Recommend that you download CDex . In a nut shell, it " disguises " MP3
as WAV, at the same time keeping the SAME size as MP3.
It is excellent, and it is FREE.
