making a link for powerpoint viewer

i am making a presentation for potential customers, but i realize not
everyone has powerpoint on their pc, so i'd have to let them know that they
need to download the free file to view it. what would be the best way to do
that? add the info to the label of the cd? the problem with that is , it's a
lot of text:

is there a way to have them click on a link for this web site first? ( by
using the cd?) and then view the presentation after they download the
viewer?

I include the viewer on the CD and give the choice (through an autorun
interface) of playing presentation if PPT (specifying which PPT if
necessary) is installed on computer or playing presentation from viewer
application on CD.

Try http://www.instantpresenter.com to present your slides online. It's very
easy to use and to upload your PowerPoint presentation, but the file must be
saved in .ppt format, and needs to be Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 or newer.

Or, you can send them an email or write a small file in word and include it
on the CD.
In the text you can use shorter words like ...... to see the presentation
download... "PowerPoint Viewer"...., then highlight the text (e.g.
PowerPoint Viewer) and from the menu select Insert and then Hyperlink where
you add your URL

that is what i want to do ( inserting the link on the cd to download it ).
but i can't figure out how to do it ( i'm using 2002 ). actually i'd like to
have an object that they click on that will bring up a link to the site
where they could download the viewer ( instead of showing a long web link).
does anyone have the patience for a newbie to explain a step by step
process? ( ok, i'm stretching my luck ).

Sorry about multiple postings... it seemed that was not going out from my
box and I repeatedly clicked on the post...

I put a note on the face of my CD to read the readme.txt file first. In
there I explain how to load the PowerPoint viewer which I have included on
the CD. I also explain how to use the master PPS file which controls access
to all the individual .ppt programs. This is for an aircraft ground school
with individual ppt files for hydraulics, electrical, etc.
I even explain how to copy/paste the master PPS file to Paste a shortcut to
their desktop so they can then insert the CD, click on the shortcut and run
the program.
