Making custom toolbars?

I am trying to make a custom toolbar. I select view>toolbars>customize
toolbars and I create a new toolbar. How do I now place the buttons that I
want to work with on it.

Switch to the Commands panel in the dialog. Select a command in the list in
the dialog, and drag it to the new toolbar. It will turn into a button.
Right-click or control-click on the new button and you can control the
appearance, text vs. icons, etc.
