Making Distribution Groups in OL20003

I have made a category called family with a number of entries in it. Is
there a way to convert this group of entries to a distribution group?

Or is there a way to make a new dist group and bring in entries from a
particular category?

I've looked, but so far no luck,

Not a convenient way.
Not much need to either. Just use the Category as you would a DL. Use the
"View by Category" view to select the category header > Actions> New Message
to Contact
