This behaviour of Word is weird. How do I avoid it?
Apparently UserForms are somehow connected to the document that is on screen
when it loads.
When I start Word, Document1 is the 'default document.' First thing in the
morning, I will click on a button that displays a User Form. One of the
actions in the Userform is to open a particular document and read from that
document. The routine then closes the document and displays the info onto
the UserForm. Problem is, when this is the first event of the day, and
Document1 is the 'default document' Document1 just disappears, as if it were
not even there. The form, no longer having Document1 to be attached to,
doesn't redisplay. (When I create a blank document 2, or display any other
document, and run the same routine, it works just fine)
Am I doing something wrong, and is there a way to avoid the disappearing
Document1?
Thanks,
