making email distribution list from emails-multiple issues

I have several hundred email address stored in a word document separated by
either commas or semi's. I would like to have them placed in different
distrubution lists and be able to eleminate the possible duplication of
address'. however when trying to get address' i get "cant contact LDAP
directory 81"?

I am using Outlook express, but am in the middle of switching to OUTLOOK.
Another issue is when I try to mail from Microsoft Publisher it doesnt pick
up the distribution list I made in OUTLOOK.
Can anyone figure this one out??

Export into e.g. a spreadsheet and you should be able to do some deduping.

Don't use a distribution list. Some form of sending individual emails is the
way to go. Either try mail merge (look it up in the help) or try our email
scheduler (http://www.repeatmail.com) which will allow you to send multiple
individual emails, html or plain text, with attachments, either as a one-off
or regularly at a specified time and interval. The recipients list can be
drawn from your Outlook Contacts, a plain text file,database or spreadsheet.
It also allows you to specify the interval between each send so as to avoid
triggering any spam limits on your account

Remove the reference to the LDAP server from your mail profile, if you don't
want to reference it. Exactly how is Outlook version-dependent and you
decided not to tell us that information.
