Making Folder Visible to Other User

T

Hi all

I am trying to make one of my personal folders visible to a colleague -
Outlook 2003.
In the sharing properties I have the guy as Reviewer and folder visible.
The question is how or where does this folder become visible?
We have tried File-Open-Other User's Folder from his PC, but he only has the
standard personal folders in the drop down list box.
Should this present as a Public folder on the reviewer's PC?

TIA

In Outlook 2003, the user would need to add the mailbox as a secondary
mailbox using the advanced settings for the Exchange account. That means the
mailbox root also needs to have the "folder visible" permission.

Well, are you both using Exchange as your mail server so you can share
folders through it?

Since you refer to the other participant as a "colleague" instead of a
coworker, it is unlikely that you are using Exchange which means you
don't get to use the enterprise features incorporated into Outlook.

If you don't want to buy, learn, and manage an Exchange server, you can
get the MapiLab Groupware Server.
