Making hyperlinks in a word doc work on a web page

I am building a website and have designed a page in word with links to other
webpages on the site as I don't know any other way to do it, I have pictures
on the page and links, I need to upload the document as worlable but they say
i can only be a GIF, JPEG type document and when i do upload it the links are
not accessible..

Can anyone out there help a learner...
