making icon, looks like lightning bolt in word, disappear

How do I make the icon that appears in my word processing work (it looks like
a lightning bolt) with options - disappear

This sounds like the AutoCorrect Options button. In Word 2003 or earlier,
this is toggled in Tools | AutoCorrect Options: Show AutoCorrect Options
buttons.
