Making inserts for key rings

Sam

1Hello I am using the "custom" option in order to size pictures so I can make
some inserts to put into blank keyrings however as the measurements are
either in cm or inches i seem to be getting into a muddle. The width is 1.6
inches and the height is 1 inch, yet when i add this, the actual print out of
the photo is very tiny and doesnt fit - waht am i doing wrong? Also the
outside grid is in pink and the inside grids are in blue, am i supposed to
insert the picture to fit inside the pink grid or inside the blue grid?
Sorry for being so stupid, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks

Are you printing one picture per page?
In Publisher, insert "new drawing", when the drawing canvas opens, create a
rectangle 1.6 X 1 (right-click, click format autoshape, size tab). Click fill,
click fill effects, picture tab, browse to your picture. Select the picture, in
the line menu, give it no line. When you are out of the drawing canvas, click
the wrap tool, the hand icon on the very top right, wrap to picture.
The blue line is the margin, the pink is more or less a help item to keep you
inbounds.

The Layout Guides are there for when you are designing other types of
publication where you don't want your design going too close to the edge of
the page. If you set the settings in Arrange > Layout Guides to 0 all
round, then the layout guides will move to the edge of the page. The outer
guide is the actual edge, the inner guide is again for other situations.
