Making Outlook Today the startup view (Outlook 2002)

I can't get Outlook Today to be the startup view when I open Outlook 2002.
It always defaults to the Inbox instead.

I have set both of the following:

Tools -> Options -> Other -> Advanced -> Startup in this folder: Outlook
Today

AND

Customize Outlook Today -> Startup -> When starting, go directly to Outlook
Today

I don't get error messages or anything when setting these options, but it
just doesn't appear to work.

I am running Outlook 2002 on another computer and it works fine with these
options set identically.

Hi'
Try this,
1. On the View menu, click the Folder List.
2. In the Folder List, right-click the Outlook Today folder, and then click
Properties.
3. In the Mailbox Properties dialog box, click the Home Page tab.
4. Click Show home page by default for this folder, and then click OK.

I forgot to mention in my opening post that the properties for Outlook Today
were set to show home page by default and still not working.

Any other ideas?

Hi Amanda,
Try this,
Start Windows Explorer, and locate the Outlwvw.dll file .
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\1033
Right-click the Outlwvw.dll file, and then click Rename
Type outlwvw.old, and press ENTER.
Quit Windows Explorer and Restart the computer.

Repair the Outlook installation.
Insert the Microsoft Office CD-ROM.( Press and hold down the SHIFT key while
you insert the CD-ROM.)
Start Outlook.
On the Help menu, click Detect and Repair, and then click Start.
Restart Outlook.
(You may have to restore the default Outlook Today home page settings)
Rgrds,
