Making PDF

When I try to make a PDF from PPT 2008 I get a lot of white space around the slide image. I can't control the white space around the slide image.

I had particular difficulty PDFing a 16x9 PPT. I couldn't control the huge size or orientation of the white page the slide image appeared on.
We resorted to opening the PPT in Keynote and it exported to PDF effortlessly.

I also read PPT-PDFs are huge. How does one control the PDF parameters? When exporting Adobe items one gets a dialogue of options. (I know PDF is an Adobe format)

Any tips? Thanks

Try printing with the Fit To Page option selected. PPT's default page size is around 10 x 7.5" and I'm
guessing that the MacOS PDF feature's default page size is 11x8.5, leaving you with borders. Fit To Page
should enlarge the slide image to fill the page.

That's one of the drawbacks of the free PDF saving capability built into Mac OS. You don't get all the
options you get when you use (the rather costly but more flexible and full-featured) Adobe Acrobat.

There are probably less expensive or even free products that'll give you more control over your PDFs.
A bit of googling should turn something up.
