Making sure all updates are downloaded/installed

I want to download all the files shown from this link

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/CD010224971033.aspx

It takes ages to naviagate to each Office 2000 product, then look at
'updates', 'viewers', 'converters' links for each one, then finally
find the download button and retrive the file. M$ certainly make it
difficult.

Are all the files shown in the above URI (and all subsequent links
from it) the same as the files shown in the Resource Kit link here:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/orkarchive/2000ddl.htm

The objective is to make sure all updates are downoaded, so that
everything with office 2000 is up to date.

For updates go here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx and then click
on Check for Updates {at top}. You will be given a list of all Office 2000
updates that apply to your computer.

Viewers, converters etc are add-in to Office or in the case of viewers free
applications for those that do not have the corresponding Office
application. They are not updates. They are optional as not all users need
them or want them.

Hi Don,

For updates go here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx and then click
on Check for Updates {at top}. You will be given a list of all Office 2000
updates that apply to your computer.

I got a message stating that I needed to use IE, ... no thanks, it is
well known as having security holes, ... I prefer to use Firefox

I need to download these updates (and viewers, converters, etc)
manually, so that if I need to re-install (HDD crash, etc), then I
don't have to go and download them again.

Surely there is an FTP site that has everything that is listed at:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/CD010224971033.aspx

for an easy download.

Thanks,
