Making templates available to all users on Win NT/2000/XP

How can I make a template availalbe to all users, current and future, on a
WinNT/2000/XP system. Is there a way to put a template on a network share
or do I have to put a copy on each PC?

BTW, I'm working with Office 2000, but I will have to assume versions of
Office/word will be 97, 2000, XP, and soon 2003.
