making the ........ in the table of contents

I would like to make a series of dots cross the page in a table of contents,
so that I can keep all the page numbers in the same row. Does anyone know
how to do that, other than to type in a lot of dots?

I want it to look like this:
Content
1............................................................................................... pg 8
Content
2............................................................................................... pg 9
Sub
content....................................................................................... pg 10

You need a right-aligned tab with a period leader; see
