Making Tickets

I have to make tickets for a tournament and I was
wondering if Word would be the best place to make them,
and if so how can I use mail merge to write in the seat
sections and numbers.

If you're using preperfed stock (such as Avery business cards) for the
tickets, you'll find these in Tools | Envelopes and Labels, and yes, it is
easy to create a labels merge to insert the appropriate variable
information, while any static text can be included in the mail merge main
document.
