I clicked on a link, expecting to generate a Word document,
and instead got an Applescript document. How do I make
Word my default word processing application? Thanks. Jeff K

What kind of "link" did you click on? Is it inside an application document?
An icon on the desktop? What version of Mac OS and Word are involved?

IF it's an icon on the desktop, and you're running OS X, you can
control-clik on the icon and ask to "Read the info". There you can get to
the "Open with..;" line, where you'll find a drop-down menu letting you
choose which applications you'd like to link to this file. If Word isn't in
the list, pick the "Other..." item (the last line) and browse hour disk to
find it.. Then click on the "Apply all..." button. It should be OK

But if you're not clicking on an icon on the desktop or/and you're not
running OSX, the answer might be fairly different...
