I spend an awful lot of time cleaning up long e-mail threads. A simple
example: I get an e-mail and forward or reply to it. Since the original
message is appended to my reply or forward, I delete the original.
Similarly, if I receive a reply to a message I've sent, I have to go back and
delete my original message. Is there a way to get Outlook to do any of this
automatically?
It gets more difficult when attachments are involved, because Outlook
doesn't keep the attachments when you forward a message. So if I want to
save an attachment from early in a thread, I have to copy and paste it into
the last message in the thread, the one I'm keeping. Any suggestions?
