I have several coworkers whose email inboxes fill up quickly while they
travel, which prevents them from being able to send or receive email. The
big issue seems to be the fact that deleting an email on their handelds only
moves it to Outlook's Deleted Items folder. As execs, they swap handheld
devices every few weeks, so trying to solve the issue at that level seems to
be a problem that would need to be solved everytime they change devices and
technologies.
I have suggested two tricks below using AutoArchive, but that doesn't seem
to be solving the issue. Will AutoArchive work even if the user doesn't log
into Outlook for a week or so? Does anyone have other suggestions to try?
1: Set up Outlook to auto-delete everything in their Deleted Items folders
whenever they close Outlook.
2: Set Auto-Archive to delete items in their Deleted Items folders older
than 1 day.
Thanks for any help you can share!
