Managing email with attachments

We receive many emails with attachments. When we do, we download the
attachments to our server. We don't need to keep copies of the attacments
with our pst, but we do not keep the record that the attachment was sent.

Is there a way to remove the attachments from a sent email and still save
the body of the email? Would I be too greedy to ask if it is possible to
annotate the sent email with a note that the attacments were saved on our
server and then save the email?

Thank you so much

Since you are posting in an Outlook group, supposedly you are looking
for a client-side solution, like an add-on to Outlook.

If you were looking for a server-side solution, best to ask in an
Exchange newsgroup.

John and Vanessa -

Yes, I am looking for a client side solution. Thank you for your
suggestions. I will investigate and see which are suitable.
