Managing Members of a Single Family

I use Outlook 2002 at home. How do any of you manage in
contacts several members (especially husband and wife)of
a single family. Do you make each member a separate
contact and just duplicate a lot of info such as
addresses. Has anyone tried setting up a family as
a "company." I also use a pocket pc 2003 and want to use
an add in to keep up with birthdays, ets. Seems most
available look for birthday field in contact - which has
a single field, ie non for the spouse. Any ideas?
