Managing Multiple Profiles in Outlook2003

Is there a "title bar" or "This Profile is Open" view that I do not currently
have active on my Outlook 2003? I am switching between 2 different profiles,
one just newly created as a "copy" of the other, and am getting confused as
to which profile is open.

Also, how do I set the default "use this mail account only" for each
profile. I want only to send/receive home messages from my home account, and
send/receive work messages from my work account.

If you have created a 2nd Profile, and the intention is to keep each email
account totally seperate, then you would need a new clean data file as the
default in that Profile & to remove the mail account in that profile that
you dont want to see, Then close the old data file.
By copying the Profile you have mearly created a duplicate of the origonal,
which I guess was not your intention.

new mail account, rather than copy the existing profile, right? But then, how
do I copy some of the messages from the old profile - it does contain alot of
folders and messages that I would like to keep in the new profile. Same for
some contacts. I've not used the calendars or any other features, so no
worries about that.

Also, is there a way to display the Profile name when I log onto that Profile?

Still a bit confused - you create a new Outlook Profile in Control
Panel-Mail-Show Profiles-Add

You don't need to copy anything. Set the new profile to use the old pst file
in the same place - Control Panel-Mail-Data Files.

You can do this in the duplicate you created, First remove the mail account
you dont want, create a new data file (OL>File>Data File), copy whatever to
this new data file, set this data file as your default store, close the
origonal data file
Other than the prompt to select the Profile, I dont believe there is any
method of 'labeling' the outlook with the profile name.
Be aware you cannot switch Profiles in a similar fashion to outlook express,
you have to close OL, then reopen & select the Profile
Its somewhat easier to manage multiple email addys in Outlook 2007
