Hi

How do I go about configuring Outlook 2003 for a mandatory profile?

I assume that the settings will be removed after the user logs off?

I have read that there are tools in the resource kit to help.....can
anyone assist?

Thanks

David

Hi

Thanks for that Sue....it help me out loads!!!

Can you help on a slight issue that I currently have with it? I am
trying to get it to run on logon, but ideally I don't want the Outlook
to start on logon, but still have the import take place. Is the a
quiet mode?

I have tried adjusting the shortcuts but for some reason they don't
like the switches, but if I put it in a login script it works a treat.

I haven't tried it in a mandatory profile, but in theory I guess it
will work.

Many thanks in advance

David

Outlook itself is the program that processes the .prf file. In other words, the answer to your question is No. Until Outlook runs, the profile that you want to deploy won't exist.
