Manipulating Excel from Access

From inside Access I'm trying to create an XY-graph in Excel. I know how to
start Excel from Access but I am not familiar enough to manipulate Excel from
Access in a successful manner. I have tried to use the internal Excel
commands in my Access VB-code - with various result. Where can I find
detailed information of how to use Excel from Access.
