Manipulating Vertical Axis

S

saimamw

Hi,
I am having a problem. Currently my vertical axis has these values:
0
200
400
600
800
1000
1200
1400
I need to show my vertical axis as:
0
400
600
800
1000
1200
1400
Is there anyway to do this?

The only quick way I know is to get powerpoint graphs to number the vertical
axis

200,400 etc

then put a solid text box over the 200, and enter a text box with 0 over the
top.

It's cheeting, but it generally works ok

cheers

Hi,

You can use a custom number format.

[Black][<1]General;[White][<201]General;General

Remember to format the font to have Transparent background otherwise there
will be a blackbox behind the 200.

Andy,

A good technique - but I've just tried that - and it did not do the trick
for me.

If just made the 200 white text, and a black background.

the scale still went from

0 200 400 600 etc

TAJ,

Did you do the extra step I mentioned?

"Remember to format the font to have Transparent background otherwise there
will be a blackbox behind the 200."

Cheers
Andy
