I had to simplify my previous posting but I am surprised that
I could not find any similar posting on this subject.
I have to distribute over a daily calendar an estimate of
40 mandays, using a force of 4 men each day, on a 6 day work week.
You immediately understand that the force is going to be
distributed over 10 days, but the work week excludes Sundays
and Holidays.
Row 1 Headers are as follows :
A = Estimate, B = Force, C = Week Working Days, D = Scheduled Start
Date
E thru Z = The Daily Calendar starting Monday 8/28/2006.
Row 2 E thru z contains A's for Weekdays, B's for Saturdays and
C's for Sundays and Holidays.
Row 3 thru the last populated row contain the data to be processed.
A3 = 40, B3 = 4, C3 = 6, D = 8/30/2006
Expected result :
Date 28 29 30 31 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11
Men 0 0 4 4 4 4 0 0 4 4 4 4 4 0 4
My problem : Locating the first cell in the calendar to start
the distribution probably with OFFSET.
Looping thru the calendar, skipping Sundays & Holidays to fill cells.
Help will be appreciated.
