when doing a manual archive with Outlook 2003 the following setting is
available:

'archive items older than:' (you specify a date)

what attribute is actually used to determine 'older than' for A)email and
B)calender items? (received date? modified date? creation date? event date?
etc..)

thanks Roady.

What changes the modified date on an email you have received? I assume when
its first received the Received Date and the Modified Date would be the
same... how would it subsequently become modified? just opening and viewing
it?

In all cases; Modified date.
