Would visio 2003 pro. be a good software to design product
manuals? Does visio support OLE? I need to be able to link
AutoCAD drawings. I'm looking for a software that would be
capable of these things.

Visio could be used for this purpose, although it would be helpful to know
what capabilities you are looking for that are not available in Word or
Publisher or in a high-end documentation application. Visio offers good
control over layout, since all objects are placed on the page and can be
resized. There is no ability to flow text across shapes or pages though.
Visio does support OLE, and has good support for AutoCAD drawings. If you
need robust header, footer, pagination or table services, you should look
for another program.
