manufacturing assembly line capacity assessment

I have to depict my manufacturing assembly line in the form of a flow chart.
The flow chart should also tell me the time taken in each activity, and help
me assess the assembly line manufacturing capacity per year or per week. The
flow chart should preferably be vertical.
Can anyone please help me by advising if it is possible in microsoft
visio, and if not, any other software which can help me in doing that.

I have seen it. However, please note, I need to assess the capacity of the
assembly line for which I draw the flow chart. I dont think visio does the
calculation of capacity of the process flow chart.
Please help.

i want to find out the number of components that can be produced from an
assembly line. I have the time required for each process on each
workstation, and have drawn rough flow chart for the full process. The plant
works two shifts per day (16 hours).
Please advise if this can be achieved by MS visio. If not, please advise on
an alternate software for the purpose.

Where visio provides the raw mechanics of the visualization, the analysis of
the flows would have to be done by (obviously) some pretty specific modeling
software. Visio does not have that as a deliverable in any of the current
editions. IMHO you should be looking for the modeling software and then
assess it's report delivery process. My background isn't in plant
engineering so my advice on that probably shouldn't be asked for.

I think what you need is what we call in france a "Simmogramme". I am
currently involved in making such a tool with Visio.
If you are interested in it you can send me your email so i will give you
information when it will be finished.

Enjoy with visio.
