map .xml filetype to Word, Excel, ...

Hi;

When I switched from workgroup to domain user, something happened in my
profile. Now all xml files are mapped to XmlSpy.

How can I get xml mapped back to first see if it is a WordML or
SpreadsheetML document and launch that app?

Hi

I think that is because the XMLSpy change the map information.
I think you may try to right click on the xml file and select open with,
In the Open with dialog, select Winword, and check "Always use the selected
program to open this kind of file".

Or
You may try to repair install the office to remap the file extension.

Also You may try to post in the windows related queue.
e.g.
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
