MAPI error message from Word Electronic mail merge

Hi:
When electronic mail merging between Access 2k and Word 2k using Outlook 2k
as the email client. I first get this warning - "A program is trying to
access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow
this?" I click yes, and the merge hangs. Finally I get this error message:
"Word couldn't send mail because of MAPI failure: Operation not supported."
I disabled Norton anti virus for email; but that didn't work. Also tried
suggestions from MS KB article -224053, but that didn't work.
I have all of the latest MS critical updates w/Service Pac 3. Is one of
them is culpable?
Any ideas?
I'm running Win 2k pro, OL2k IMO, Word 2k, Access 2k. (I done this merge
many times using Win98se, but this is the first time w\Win2k)
Thanks, Mark Flynn

I think I found the answer:
According to "Special Edition Using Microsoft Outlook 2000" published by
QUE, Messaging Application Programming Interface - MAPI is available in the
C/W configuration of Outlook. So, I'd have to switch from IMO to C/W to get
this service.
Thank you to myself for answering my own question.
