I have a user running Windows XP SP3, Office 2000 Pro, and Outlook 2003
connected to an Exchange 2003 server. This user cannot send attachments from
Word or Excel. Word shows the famous "Word could not send mail because MAPI
error unspecified error." Excel shows "General mail failure. Quit Excel,
restart the mail system, and try again."
I have tried numerous suggestions in the Microsoft KB including "/a" to
start Word and still have the issue. The WIN.INI file and registry are
correct. I then noticed under Programs in Internet Options that there is
nothing listed in the drop down box for Calendar or Contact List but
Microsoft Office Outlook is listed under E-Mail. I decided to run Detect and
Repair for Office and the boxes are still empty. I am not sure what else to
do. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ron
