MAPI in Outlook 2000

Hi.

I have Outlook 2000 running on Win2K. How do I enable MAPI in Outlook? I
reconfigured mail support from Internet Only to Corporate/Workgroup but that
did not solve my problem. I am using a Canon scanner that can create
attachments to email but it will not work. Canon Tech Support said the
problem is because MAPI is not enabled in my Outlook but they could not tell
me how to enable it and I cannot find how to either.

No, I do not use Word as my e-mail editor.

It may be necessary to use Word as your e-mail editor for the scanner to be
used as a source of files to attach to your mails.
This is something you will have to try as my scanner cannot be used this way
AFAIK.
