'MAPI Spooler could not be started'

'Microsoft Exchange

MAPI Spooler could not be started. Close and then restart
all mail-enabled applications.

MAPI 1.0 [000004c7]'

I get this error when I try to use the 'send to feature'
and choose 'Mail Recipient'. I am trying to send the
document via Lotus Notes. Someone help please!!
