MAPI Store is known but not available

I'm trying to link our office's Outside Contacts public folder from Exchange
into and Access database. I can get to the folder using the link table
wizard, but when I click Finish, it errors with the following message:

MAPI store "Outside Contacts" is known but unavailable.

I can import the table just fine, but linking isn't working. Any ideas?

Access doesn't play nice with Exchange databases :-(

2002 version:

830797 Supported Data Sources for Importing, for Exporting, and for Linking

You'll need to export them from Outlook first, then import them into your
database of choice.
