Hi, I'm trying to use Outlook 2003 as my default program in Vista. Current
email program is Windows Mail. Issues so far have been;
1). Received error 'Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Mapi32.DLL is
corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing
other messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook.
2). I've renamed Mapi32.DLL and "Repaired" Office 2003. (Didn't work)
3). Deleted Mapi32.DLL and reinstalled full Office Version 11, including
Outlook. (Didn't work)
4). Copied Mapi32.DLL from another computer and loaded it into System32
file. (Didn't work)
5). Tried changing default programs via Control Panel and inside Windows
Mail on numerous occasions. (Didn't work)
I've read quite few posts and they all refer to renaming mapi32.DLL or
deleting it and running the repair feature in outlook but none of these have
worked. I'm keen to find a way to use Outlook 2003 with Vista, any help would
be very much appreciated.
Cheers
