Margin markers: how to remove in print layout view?

In print layout view, my documents (all, whether old or
newly created) mysteriously began showing the four margain
marker angles on the page. They are only visible in print
layout view, and do not print, but their presence on the
screen is distracting. How do I get rid of them again?

To clarify, they look like this:

_| |_

_ _

in the corner of each page, marking the margins of the
text.

These are marks associated with Asian language support. You can only remove
them by disabling Asian language support from Microsoft Office Tools.
